YMCA of Nuremberg is...
 
…inviting to faith. Everyone who gets to know the YMCA shall learn and experience something of the unique love of Jesus Christ toward every human being. This does not happen in a forced or manipulative way, but is – in the spirit of Christ – pronounced as a friendly invitation.
 
...serving society. Inspired by the love of Christ, we support individuals. We invite to experience community in a diverse way and accompany people with vital questions. As an association, we want to do our share toward a humanitarian atmosphere in society.
 
…promoting the unity of Christians. It was founded by men of several churches. The YMCA of Nuremberg is characterised by strong Evangelical influence with members and staff from different denominations. It promotes cooperation and collaboration of Christians with different backgrounds.
 
…international. As a member of the World Alliance of Young Men Christian Associations, it is part of a worldwide youth movement with over 120 countries involved. It is open for everyone regardless denomination, social status, skin colour, or nationality.
